The Woman's Club of Cayce celebrated Martin Luther King Day with community service by collecting 60 gently worn shoes for Soles 4 Souls and spending the afternoon sewing 13 fleece Cancer Care Caps and cutting the fabric for 68 more caps.
Once the caps are completed, we provide them to cancer patients throughout the Midlands. When a cancer patient loses their hair, their scalp becomes very sensitive - even pillow cases are too rough. Our fleece caps helps keep their heads warm and comfortable.
Thank you to Carol Dalton for teach us how to sew the caps together and to Doris Brumfield, Ann Malpass, Libby Conner, Fran Cornell, Pamme Eades, Sue Sexton, Regina Lemmon Bush and husband, DeMarcus Bush, Judy Pooser, Paula Miller, Vicki Shafer, and Renee Pound for cutting fabric and sewing the caps.
